Even though fork bottoms are fairly robust parts, a simple minor fall can damage them.
AVDB gives you the choice: you can buy one fork bottom, or both, depending on your needs. However, we recommend ordering the pair to ensure an identical shade on the left and right sides, while also guaranteeing that the anodizing and color will age evenly. Otherwise, a slight color difference may be noticeable.

You will only need to provide the anti-friction bushings and fit new oil seals.
When people talk about the “fork,” it is generally not a good sign. Whether following a crash or simply due to wear and a surface coating that has flaked off, forcing you to replace the oil seals every few months, when it comes to replacing fork tubes or fork bottoms, it is never much fun.
