Born from the desire to renew the transmission system to fully exploit its exceptional technical characteristics, the MHR Multivar Next was created. This new variator, developed from many years of experience gained on race tracks and by today’s CAD-CAM technology, represents the evolution of previous generations of variators and offers performance results at the highest levels. The mobile semi-pulley is the defining component of the entire system and for this reason, it is subject to constant evolution.
Designed with a larger diameter than the original, it allows for a remarkably higher transmission ratio travel compared to the original pulley. Advanced CAE (computer-aided engineering) systems have enabled our technicians to analyze the movements of the entire system in the vehicle while in operation, to further optimize the geometry of the pulley and avoid collisions even under the most critical usage conditions. The new reinforcing ribs, developed to lighten less critical areas, reduce inertia and consequently dissipate less energy from the engine. For a visually impactful aesthetic performance, the Malossi and Multivar logos have undergone a diamond process. The new reinforcing ribs, developed to lighten less critical areas, reduce inertia and consequently dissipate a lower amount of energy.
